DescriptionFour color #123 Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig (1946) cover recreation rendered in (1980) by C.C.Beck.--- Working for Fawcett Publications he was the first to illustrate Captain Marvel, Ibis, Spy Smasher and a cast of supporting players. In the 1940's Captain Marvel sold more than one million copies a month, the most successful comic book in history. He was inducted into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame (1997),the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame (1993) and in 1977 was awarded an inkpot by the San Diego Comic Con.--- Beck ALSO did a Disney character painting inspired by Carl Barks' unused cover sketch for the story "The "Mines of King Solomon" (Uncle Scrooge #19,Sept.-Nov.1957). It was used as the cover when the story was reprinted in Gladstone Comic Album #1 (1987).--- The Bugs and Porky painting is beautifully detailed in brilliant colors occupying an image area of 11"x 15".
