Description

To Borrow from Charles Costas' page ...
For the Fish Police covers, Steve Moncuse would paint the final published version similar to a an animation cel. He would copy the B&W art onto a piece of acetate and then hand paint the color on the acetate.
I dislike the addition of "color guides" in this sort of site, but this is NOT a color guide. This is the final painted color acetate that the cover was shot from, since the way they used to do the color covers was not usually shot from the ink art.

Glad you like it. The painting that Steve on these color covers really brought the art to life. It differentiated them from a lot of the other B&W books that were being published at the time.
