Description

Asterix is one of the most beloved and popular characters and his appeal stretches worldwide - and far beyond comic collectors as well as, all the more, original art collectors. Not surprisingly (and also given the approach towards original art in the European context), actual original art pages from this series run into six figures. This is way, way out of the financial reach of most - including myself. The present drawing is a rather more modest substitute and, even then, it was not inexpensive; quite the opposite. But it is not only an adequate substitute in the circumstances but also illustrates the excellent artistic talents of Uderzo himself.

Asterix and Uderzo were one of my biggest inspirations, and ANY finished ink piece is amazing. This is a gem!
