I don't remember which was the first Crusaders team-up thing I got. My instinct is to say that it was the original Shield. But whichever one it was I wasn't even intending to make it a theme. I was just a one off cool idea to me. Then it kicked in this could be a whole thing - the Crusaders as I knew them when I started reading with interesting / appropriate counterparts.

I came across Adam's stuff on deviantArt and I always like when something new from him shows up in the notifications. When he opened the door to doing commissions I had to get something :) Old man me doesn't always go for digital only work but Adam's just too cool to pass up. I mean, forget how great this thing is, go check out the work he did for Roy Johnson. Another artist that I just can't believe doesn't have a regular gig. Hawkgirl's mask here is amazing. Even though these are Crusader-themed I think Hawkgirl's my favorite character out of them all.

This was a digital piece but the size is along the lines of 11x17
