DescriptionI love it when a plan comes together. When I was planning the original "Worlds Collide" series, one of the images that I decided to use was a Re-Legion version of Identity Crisis Issue 1. I re-posted the image below to refresh your memories.Although I had Jovi draw a question mark on the coffin at that time, I truly had no idea who was going to end up in there. I did not need to decide then and there and the element of mystery just added to the powerful cover image. But now we know that it was Mentalla who died in battle at Dormammu's hands and we know that this enraged the Time Trapper who then battled him for her soul. Well you can see from this installment, he won & poor Mentalla is tortured even in the after-life. And now we know also that the "question mark " has a double meaning. The heroes do not remember who they buried ( a la Supergirl after the Crisis event ) and not remembering may be their very undoing. Gilbert ( Geebo) Vigonte did this piece. I heartily recommend him to all on CAF. Ryan introduced us and he has been a great addition to this series. This is but the first of several that he has done for me. Russ added digital layers to give this piece a very cool vibe. Mentalla is a soul plucked out of time. She may be dead but that does not mean that her part in the Infinite Timelines story is over. Far from it, we will see next week that precisely because she is an chronal anomaly, she has a unique perspective on all that has and will unfold in this event. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Vigonte is a great find!! I really like the combo of the modern level of detail and the old school layout!

Even if this was just of the Trapper it'd be a worthy commission!

Vigonte is an amazing artist, I love how beautiful Mentala looks and the layout fantastic. This is the kind of cover that would make me buy a comic.
