Description

I read this book as a teen and really enjoyed it. After the 'Lord of the Rings' I was drawn to stories like this, The 'Sword of Shannara', 'Ursherak' (Sp?) and the like. Finally owning a Whelan painting (that isn't a prelim) also is a check off my collection list. I just love his work.

Nice pickup! I was watching it as a relatively reasonably priced Whelan, but still too rich considering stuff I bought earlier in the year! Very cool.

Back in the '80s our High School art class took a field trip to see a Michael Whelan exhibit. I've been in awe of his paintings ever since.

I love Whelan's color palette.
