Description

I don't know where this beautiful illustration was published. It is quite an mesmerizing image. The female face is beautiful. The fish that make up the top part of the drawing are rendered in Toppi's characteristic detail and style. The overall image has the shape of a chalice which evokes many interesting connotations. There are a lot of potential meanings and connections in this piece but being able to put it into context would be very helpful. If you recognize where this was published, please let me know.

Molto Bello.....ma gli occhi dei pesci che si appropriano degli occhi della donna � e ti guardano. .. Sono fantastici. Very Nice ..... but the eyes of the fish that are siphoning off the woman's eyes ... and look at you. .. They are fantastic. (Sorry for my English)
