DescriptionAnother pure pencil page from the historic AvsX 11 by Olivier Coipel. One of his finest jobs in my humble opinion :)You can construe the sequence as you want, but for me this page marks the death of professor X. Super badass Cyclops in panel one (a manga-inspired pose by the way) grabs Xavier and death ensues. What I like best in this page are the Xavier moments. The second panel, a little indent in the first one, showcasing how little a force Xavier is compared to the Phoenix force and the one before last where his stare is full of fear as if he is understanding he is about to die at the hand of his favorite son. Plus you get all sort of flying little debris giving you a sense of the winds at works due to the radiating energy. Intense storytelling from Olivier. Truly a historic page. I include a scan of the inks for comparison as I don't own them. Social/Sharing |

Huge scene in the lives of the X-Men forever about to be changed. Congrats on this amazing Coipel series.
