Stephen Hickman - The Demon Harp

This is Stephen's homage to Frank Frazetta. There are actually two versions of "The Demon Harp". This is the original painting (and Stephen's preferred version) but the editor of Epic magazine, Archie Goodwin, thought the glimmering, magical dimness might be too subtle for an effective magazine cover. He asked Stephen to rework the painting, but Stephen instead did a second Demon Harp painting (which can be seen in the book, "The Fantasy Art of Stephen Hickman.") Currently unpublished, this version of Demon Harp is scheduled to appear in Stephen's next art book.
