DescriptionThis is a daily from early in the Simon Ware story. For a comic strip about a model, there are very few examples involving modeling. Here Carol is with Australian photographer and future fiance Joe Wilson--they have just encountered title character Simon Ware, who is being pursued by mysterious strangers. This is also a rare snow scene. There is some fine work in this daily, including dense rendering and cross hatching, with good light and shadow, storytelling, figure and landscape treatments. As with all Carol Days, this art is drawn on illustration board. This is in the second half of in the feature's run, so the logo is a paste up. There are impact dents in all 4 corners and a white out use in some word balloons.Social/Sharing |

Wright was an absolute master as seen here... that first panel and the way he lit the background is astounding!!!
