DescriptionBouncing Boy's darkest day. To protect a child that is destined to be the Protector Of Worlds, he must stop the one he loves. A line is crossed and his nightmare begins.John did a great job on this. We went back & forth on this piece. It is a strong image but there had to be deadly consequences for her deadly rampage. Russ did a nice job also. The lettering etc enhances in subtle ways the horrific scene. Our meeting in Baltimore was fun on a personal level but super-productive on a creative level for this series. We are adding 4 new pieces which means that John & Russ have had to scramble to meet the upcoming Friday deadlines. But I promise you there are some very cool pieces to come. They out-did themselves. RIP Luornu Durgo-Taine ( "Enjoy", my usual ending, does not seem an appropriate sign-off this week ) Aidan Social/Sharing |

Very intense! The expression on Luornu's face is...unsettling.

As gruesome as I have ever seen in one of your Legion covers! Not that it isn't fantastic! Reality hurts in comics! Really like the inks here!

You followed one of the Jim Shooter editorial rules: (T)here had to be deadly consequences for her deadly rampage.

A tragic conclusion to these epic series of covers. Isnt their on version of Lournu left? That begs a sequel.

Hopefully by then, we will reach an ending that is as equally true to Duo's established history as was all the events up to now, which set her on this tragically dark path.

First off, I love it when I can recognize the cover being homage just from the thumbnail. Secondly, this is BRUTAL. Hat's off to everyone involved in this one!

so Luornu is dead in an extremely disturbing cover...but she is Duo Damsel....so where is the other twin...and does she seek vengeance?

She had only one body left which is why she became a teacher in the Legion Academy. So there is sadly no "twin" coming in to save the day.

Very cool. I remember DD 200 cover well because as a kid I thought it was shocking to see a hero depicted like that.
