I won this wonderful painting off eBay in 2014. I never expected to get a Nick Cardy painting so I'm happy to have this one even if it isn't of superheroes.

I am not sure if this was published somewhere or not.

I believe Nick told me the flowery background was an allusion to his style as an orator. Great pastels by Nick. He was fearless in using different media.
