DescriptionA team that shouldn't work in a great mini written by Steve Gerber. I was born in the late '50s and thought Batman was the coolest character. Fans born in the previous decade thought it was Superman. What you eventually realize it wasn't just the Supes TV show but that was a great period for his comics while Batman was meeting aliens and traveling through time; during my youth Neal Adams and Marshall Rogers came along and most of the classic stories were reprinted while many of the Superman stories were often fair at best. So that is perhaps why Steve had such affection for the character and brought back a character whose only appearance was 20 years earlier (he's the one who dies on this page) and through in some Gerber weirdness such as a woman with an exploding Krypton head.Social/Sharing |
