Description

Though the new costume design was by Neal Adams, and the intro was by Norm Breyfogle (and better artists than either of those two are hard to find), it was when Tim Drake's Robin got his own miniseries and then ongoing comic that he really came into his own. And the artist on those was Tom Lyle.

I've been a fan of Tom's work since the sometmes (and undeservedly IMHO) maligned or overlooked 1980's Starman series, and later in the DC "Impact!" line's take on "The Comet".

I've wanted an example of his work for a while, but they're not easy to find. and so when I saw this nice portrait shot of Tim in his original (and never surpassed, also IMHO) on e-bay I went for it, and got it for a steal!

I think the dedication is to someone NAMED Tim, but I'm not sure, but since this IS Tim, I don't feel that it detracts very much! :)

I love this sketch. Tom Lyle is such a great artist. I loved his work on Robin and Spider-Man. Great pick up man.
