Description

I remember a time when I was a child and my dad was about to give me a bath. I touched the water and reported it was too hot. He told me that it was "lukewarm." I actually remember him saying this, and I felt, as much as a little kid could, that he was patronizing me (as I LOVED Star Wars). I got angry and retorted, "No, it's Darth Vader hot!" When I read Jeff Brown's "Vader and Son," I immediately thought of this story, and eventually reached out to Jeff about commissioning this piece. He was amazingly nice, made the process so easy and enjoyable. When I saw this piece in person, I was floored. Easily one of (if not THE) most beautiful pieces I have. As great as it looks here, it is incredible to view up close. It is framed on the wall of our son's room!

A few years after I got this piece, it was used in a "Vader and Son" Calendar! This piece, and my silly memory of bathtime with my dad, is not official Lucasfilm/Star Wars merchandise!

I really like the story behind this commission. Thanks for sharing! I think this piece is worthy of inclusion in one of Jeffrey Brown's future books in the series.
