DescriptionWe take a slight detour to give a back story to some of our assembled cast . The Duplicate Boy & Shrinking Violet romance that started in the Adventure Comics era never really carried any emotional impact and ended like a damp squid after the Yera/Shrinking Violet imposter/kidnapped story-line was resolved . He was a powerful character who was never handled properly. Violet worked much better after she and Ayla became a couple.But I thought the kick-ass Atom Girl version or Salu Digby Reeboot 3.0 would be a strong character who could hold her own with Duplicate Boy and be a fun pairing that would raise eyebrows among their respective teamates. Gilbert (Geebo) Vigonte did a great job reworking ( and adding a little extra ) to a classic X-Men cover and Russ pulled it all together so that it ties in with the main story. Always been a big fan of Duplicate boy, I think it was the clean Forte art, Geebo, continues the tradition of giving Duplicate Boy great artists and I've got something from him in the pipeline!

That's probably my favorite Portacio cover being homaged here, and Gilbert did a great job with it. Also, I don't think that Threeboot Salu would put up with any of Duplicate Boy's crap. She'd either whip him into shape, or kick him to the curb very quickly.
