Description***Week 21 of 26 of my weekly Spidey Double Posts***This week I have two covers by the great Ron Frenz. Both feature Spider-Girl (May 'Mayday' Parker, daughter of Peter and MJ Parker in the MC2 Universe). I love this cover image, with Spider-Man being mirrored in the glass by Spider-Girl. It's so cool to have regular Earth-616 Spidey on the same cover as Earth-982 Spider-Girl, his daughter from a completely other Universe. And the team of Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema is one of my absolute favorites when it comes to the Spideyverse. Social/Sharing |

I love the line work on this one! This is the first piece I've seen from the duo of Frenz and Sal. There's no way I would have thought this pairing would work prior to seeing your cover, there styles seemed too different. I'm happy to say my assumptions were really wrong. It's great seeing the different thickness and detail in ink lines with overall heavier inks from Sal. Frenz has done some of my favorite covers of all-time and tour cover is a great example of why. He puts so much care and creativity into the detail of his background and the overal layouts. A beauty of a piece, Pablo! Congrats!!

I love this one! I've always had a thing for the "stand (or in this case, swing) in front of a mirror and reflect something different" trope. However, I don't know if you noticed it or not, but Frenz majorly screwed up in the execution of that trope. If you don't see it and you want to know, you know where to reach me!
