DescriptionHow many chances to you get to purchase a Steve Ditko page directly from Steve!? The inker, Steve Leialoha, that is. :-) Page featuring Captain America and Rick Jones, along with a flashback to Bucky Barnes death. Purchased from Steve at San Diego con in 2000. I thought it was from a Captain America annual, but after an hour of looking for the credits online, I finally figured out it's from a book called "Marvel's Heroes and Legends 1997", which was a retelling of "Avengers" #16 using a who's who of classic artists (Dick Ayers, Sal Buscema, Steve Ditko, Gil Kane, Tom Palmer and Al Milgrom) adding to the story. I could never afford a vintage Ditko page in the current market, so one retelling a vintage story is the next best thing.Social/Sharing |
