DescriptionAnd now for the thrilling conclusion... but if you haven't read Page 1, go do that first.Ok, so at the end of our previous page, it wasn't looking too good for our Nazi pals, but... everything turns out ok. Nah. I'm just kidding. Turns out it was indeed a grenade and The Unknown Soldier blowed them up real good. "The grenade I had planted in the apple basket had worked well -- shattering two Nazi lives as easily as a similar grenade had shattered my face long years before. Only in my case the blast had not been an ending, but a beginning -- The beginning of anger, of a seething obsession to destroy the thing called War... The Beginning of my career as... THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER". Pages 2 and 3 are basically a double-page spread, and are shown side-by-side in the picture, but they are not taped on the back and are separate pages. With two full-size original art pages, the total size of this amazing spread is a whopping 15 3/4" by 21 3/4"! They had actually been separate for many years and were magically brought back together!
