I haven't owned any V.T. Hamlin artwork in many years, and could not pass up this sweet, sweet, sweet Alley Oop daily strip from April 27, 1950. The pen work is simply terrific, as you can see by the detail shots below. But Hamlin's baby tiger really wins the day here. Frank Stack said that Hamlin told him the trick to drawing cats was more curves and less angles. That certainly seems to be the case here.
