Description

From what little I've been able to discover concerning the origins of this unpublished page, the following is my best guess. If someone knows something more about it, please let me know and I'll make an addendum here or correct it.

Apparently Swamp Thing #19 was originally to be a 50 Page Giant. Somewhere in the process of Redondo drawing the book, DC changed its mind eventually splitting the story into two issues, 19 and 20. At one point, there seems to have been a decision made to wrap up the story in a single issue when most, if not all of the first 20 pages or so, had been drawn. Several pages at the end of the book, this one included, were created to quickly wrap up the storyline as a single issue. It doesn't really work and fortunately DC finally went with the two parter approach instead.
