DescriptionI found this piece at a dealer's table at the Lucca comic con. Although a very unpleasant and unsettling theme, the art and artistry really shun through. It is a brilliantly layed out and executed page. The Spanish/Italian school of art influence on this Argentinian artist are readily apparent. It appears to be from a story "0,Rian El Cazador" although the first part is difficult to decipher. I am guessing mid to late 60's although Horacia is still alive and teaching illustration in Buenos Aires. I have another 14 page story by this artist coming shortly. These 15 pages I recently acquired are my first exposure to Lalia's art and I was very taken with his style and the quality of his art. It is an injustice that he is not better known and appreciated.Social/Sharing |
