DescriptionOver the years of commissioning original artwork, I've collected sketches of most of the individual characters from what is probably my all-time favorite television show, Firefly. After getting most of the characters in my sketchbook, I decided that something I really wanted to own was a piece of original artwork showcasing the entire crew of the Serenity. I knew this was no small task, and it took a great deal of brainstorming and discussion amongst my friends to decide upon the right artist(s) for the job. After much deliberation, I shared the idea for the commission with artists and friends Comfort Love and Adam Withers. Fortunately for me, they not only loved the idea, they wanted to turn it into a print that they could sell at conventions! So, the commission ended up becoming an original marker piece for myself and a full-color print to be sold at conventions. Comfort and Adam's commission work is second to none, so I happily gave them the go ahead, and the rest is history! Comfort and Adam not only managed to find a way to fit all 9 crew members into one piece, but they also created a composition that is rich with detail from the show, and which nails the personality of each and every character. I could not have asked for a better result on this commission, and I even get to share it with other fans!Social/Sharing |
