Stunningly elegant work rendered by Salinas on this Cisco Kid strip published June 21, 1951. This is an early daily in the series as Cisco Kid, written by Rod Reed, debuted on January 15, 1951. There were no Sunday pages, so this is as good as it gets!

Very nice example demonstrating Salinas' proficiency with a brush, particularly how he uses it to draw hair. Also a very strong example of his brilliance in executing the detailed embroidered flower pattern on his shirt. Congrats on adding this one to your collection, Steve!

By looking at this strip you clearly see how Serpieri was inspired by Salinas, both in terms of style and themes... Exquisite piece!
