DescriptionGeorge Clark didn't sign his panels all that often, so it's nice to run across a beaut that's also signed. There were few cartoonists who could wield a brush like Clark, especially with his knowledge of the figure. These early-to-mid 1940s pieces are my favorites. The caption reads: "I don't care what our original plan was! Don't tell me you'd want to kill and eat anything as beautiful as they are!" Great cartoon! And, as a man with chickens in his back yard, I can appreciate the sentiment!
