Description

Sure, he's a cosmic tyrant bent on conquering the universe and enslaving the minds of all sentient beings, but that doesn't mean that Darkseid doesn't also occasionally enjoy relaxing in his library with a favorite book and welcoming old acquaintances who happen to pop in.

Perhaps the zenith of zaniness of the 1980s Giffen/DeMatteis Justice League era (a.k.a. the "Bwah-Ha-Ha" era) was when the team traveled to Apokolips and high-stakes superheroic hilarity ensued. Events culminated in an appearance by Darkseid himself to set things straight--a novus deus ex machina, if you will.
