DescriptionLarry Hama (with help from Linda Fite) organized a memorial gathering for Flo Steinberg on Sunday, October 1, at the Society of Illustrators in New York. The room was packed with friends and family and fans, including Joe Quesada, Michael Kaluta, Carl Potts, Kim Deitch, Steve Bunche, Marie Javins, Scott Edelman, Irene Vartanoff, Danny Fingeroth, Steve Saffel, Jim Salicrup, Darren Auck, Max Gottfried, and many others, including Flo's cousin. The venue and refreshments were reportedly paid for by Marvel and there were lots of current and former Marvel employees present. Dozens of people shared their thoughts and memories (and laughter) about Fabulous Flo. It was a wonderful tribute to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many people during her lifetime.
