DescriptionMore S. Clay Wilson filth…I was 13 when I saw this drawing for the first time in a French anthology of European and American comic art. I was blown away. Just like I was, almost four decades later, when I realized I could actually become the owner of this piece. And I did. Thank you, Eric Sack, for saving it for me all these years! No, I have not shown it to to my 13-year-old daughter. I certainly don't want her to become a dirty old comic art collector like her dad. And she might slap me in the face!... For the scholarly-minded: this first appeared as the inside back cover of the Last Gasp one-shot "Laugh in the Dark" in 1971. It was then dedicated "To Rory" (Hayes). Social/Sharing |
