Description

On the left is Marianne (Nick's niece), on the right is Angie (her mother). If you met Nick at a convention, you probably met Marianne as well.

Angie is Nick's younger sister and the last of Nick's siblings. A couple weeks ago, I had the honor and pleasure of attending the celebration for Angie's 95th birthday... and taking a picture.

Not only were they close, Angie and Nick's birthdays are only a day apart. Growing up during the Depression, their birthdays were celebrated together. So these days, birthdays become bittersweet.

Update: 9/30/2022, I've just learned that Angie passed away a few months short of what would've been her 100th birthday. RIP.
