L.E.G.I.O.N. by Tom Fowler

For this commission, I sent Tom a list of four L.E.G.I.O.N./R.E.B.E.L.S. members to choose from and then he surprised me by drawing all four of them! Here we have Gigantus, Phase, Garv and Bertron Diib. These four characters vary greatly in size, but Tom put them in order from smallest to largest so that they each get equal attention. I love that Gigantus is in the lead, fearless and crazy-looking with his tiny self. And Phase looks like she's having a great time going into action as part of this kooky quartet. Garv seems to be taking the action seriously, as he probably just wants to get back home to Strata. And Bertron is just large and strange-looking, as always. Again, I love how Tom arranged the characters here, and just how awesome they all look. The colors are gorgeous here, and I wish we could see a full-length book of Tom's paintings. Anyway, big thanks again to Tom for always going above and beyond with his commissions!

I agree, the order of characters is really cool here, with the littlest guy taking lead. I like the big smile on Phase's face too. Great piece!
