Description

Hard to describe the texture on this one. It's more accurate to describe this as a black and white painting than an ink drawing. Itchy textural pen strokes and beefy swaths of rich black ink drawn back over and into with white ink via both pen and brush. Almost sculptural. A miniature masterpiece from one of alt-comics' modern masters.

He had his Showcase cover of the Venquilitrist with him at one of the two Chicago Comicons I went to and I know what you're talking about. He puts down the white ink (or paint, it's been a while) to give him a texture to dig into/ build upon.
