Description

EEK! is a monstrously funny comic strip written and drawn by syndicated cartoonist Scott Nickel.

Launched on September 10, 2007 by Go Comics, a division of Universal Press Syndicate, EEK! appears 3 times a week on the Go Comics website, the home of such beloved strips as Garfield, Lio, The Far Side, and Calvin & Hobbes.

Scott Nickel's cartoons have appeared in MAD, Playboy, Reader's Digest, Physician's Weekly, Saturday Evening Post, Wall Street Journal, Woman's World and Nickelodeon magazine, and his previous comic strip, Triple Take, was syndicated by King Features from April 2005 to August 2007. He is also an award-winning children's book author, a greeting card creator and has a fresh new lemony scent.

The artwork is created on 2-ply Bristol board with archival black ink. The piece measures approximately 4 1/2" x 13".

How did Eek! start?

"I was itching to do a strip of my own. Remembering the sage advice that the best creations come from within, I tapped my jugular vein and out flowed EEK! My rabid interest in monsters, movies, and MAD-style humor helped the gags flow naturally."

"Some of my favorite strips are the ones with the brain in a jar and the Grim Reaper. And, of course, Frankenstein. Boris Karloff's Frankenstein is my all-time favorite movie monster, so I try to put Frankie (and his Bride) in the strip as often as possible."
