Description

When the original X-Men of the '60s (Jean Grey, Beast, Ice Man, Angel and Cyclops) were brought from the past into the present, I was so thrilled. It was a way of bringing the innocence of youth into the more twisted, convoluted times of modern adulthood.

My problem with the X-Men has always been that things get so freakin' complicated that no one knows what the heck is goin' on.
So any attempt to simplify things has always met with my extreme approval.

All-New X-Men vol 1 #1 came out in 2013, with Bendis at the writing helm. It was amazing, and though I was worried it was just a passing fancy, it just kept going and going, lasting 41 issues! And when it ended, we got vol 2, which lasted 19 issues! It has been a fantastic ride.
