DescriptionIt looks like "Br'er Fox" has temporarily forgotten his desire to eat "Br'er Rabbit" with this turkey dinner in front of him. "Don't worry about me, folks, i'll get my share ob dat Thanksgiving turkey," said Br'er Rabbit, when he and Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear were about to partake of their harvest feast. These three fascinating characters , especially painted for the Seattle Post - Intelligencer PICTORIAL REVIEW November 24, 1946 issue by Disney artist Hank Porter. This cover helped introduced the public to Disney's newest feature length picture, "Song of the South," a musical drama in striking Technicolor based on the immortal Uncle Remus stories by Joel Chandler Harris. Accomplished in gouache on illustration board measuring 14x10 in. with W.D.P. copyright and Hank's Walt Disney signature.Social/Sharing |
