DescriptionSOLD AT AUCTION FOR $6,100!17-3/8x21-3/8" open frame contains oil painting original art by Al Feldstein (1925-2014), recreating his cover to "Weird Science-Fantasy" Annual #2, originally published by EC Comics in 1953. Art features sleek and futuristic-looking rocketship blasting through space, w/vast starfield bkg. Top half of painting is just open space, w/o the "Weird Science-Fantasy" title or any of the publishing indicia. Feldstein has signed at lower left. Upper left has as faint 3" surface mark, but o/w art is Exc. Social/Sharing |
