Description

Bruce McCorkindale's re-creation of Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott's cover art to FANTASTIC FOUR #73. Pen, brush and ink on 13 X 20" bristol board.

Bruce said, "I'm often not sure what to say after the 4,000th re-creation, although at times I try to mention process things, or fun facts that occur to me. To be honest, I can't think of any job I haven't enjoyed in some way or another. I have my favorite artists to work on, but sometimes the most fun pieces are the ones that are a little outside my wheelhouse. I always try to find a way to challenge myself. Even if I've done a lot of work over the same artist, I always try to look deeper to see if I can capture not just the linework, but a particular "feel" in the linework that gives it its character."
