Description

Born in Turin, Italy, in 1938, Sergio Sarri is a fine painter and illustrator, who devoted himself to experimental cinematography in the '60s and to comics between the '80s and '90s (working for magazines like "Corto Maltese", "Comic Art", "Heavy Metal", "Glamour International", with the pen name of SeSar).
His comic stories, always beautifully drawn/painted with an amazing attention to detail, often take inspiration from classic movies' themes/scenes, and the main characters are usually great movie stars of the past.
In fact, in this very page (from a spy story titled Cleopatra Code, published in "Corto Maltese" #8, Aug. 1990), you can easily recognize actor James Cagney (1899-1986) and actor/director Erich von Stroheim (1885-1957).
