Description2nd of 2 posts tonight featuring Blade. I’ve wanted a nice Blade splash/cover as well as a Siqueira cover so got 2 birds killed with this one! I’d been eyeing it on CAF for a bit but when Chiaroscuro had a sale I jumped at it!Nice leaping pose here and the outstretched cape looks awesome. The image is really one that’s indicative of Blade as a character - jumping without hesitation into the thick of it with swords at the ready! Siqueira really is adept at marrying cartooning with a strong yet tempered level of realism. Definitely the case here! Cool to have both vampires and vampiric monsters and I particularly like the inking on them. I also included an image of the 3 thumbnail cover concepts Paulo did - a nice little bonus for sure when I opened the package up! I think option B would’ve been pretty cool...but I’m guessing it may have been a little violent/gory for a Marvel cover :) In any case, I’m glad to have picked up the final version of what they settled on. There are a lot of great Siqueira pieces on CAF so I’m also glad to be part of the club! Social/Sharing |

Epic! Gorgeous image of Blade leaping into the midst of monsters! Love the details like the folds of Blade's cape! Beautiful cover!
