Description

This year for the San Diego Comicon, my wife had a work conference at a hotel right by the Convention Center on Monday through Wednesday before the Comicon, so I flew out with her on Sunday. On Monday, I rented a car and drove up to LA, to meet up with a longtime SF fan who I've bought a few pieces of art from over the past couple of years. It was a fun afternoon chatting and going through his collection. When the dust had settled, I ended up buying nearly two dozen vintage SF and fantasy pieces.

I'll post some of them over time, starting with this one. By Edd Cartier, it was published as an interior illo to Eric Frank Russell's "Exposure," in Astounding Science Fiction, July 1950.
