Description

Tom Yeates Alien Encounters #1 Complete 4-Page Story "Watcher from the Skies" Original Art (FantaCo Enterprises, 1981). Yeates achieves an EC Comics-style excellence in a compact and merciless story about the 18th Century's slave-trafficking trade and a violent comeuppance for one crew of slavers. The story represents a transitional phase from the Underground Comix movement of the 1960s-70s into the independent-comics boom of the earlier 1980s. Ink and Zipatone shading film over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15".
