Spawn The Impaler #3 p6 (1996) Grell Prelim - Only existing version of Grell artwork!

Note that the art has an image area of approximately 4" x 6".

This was purchased at auction as a 'prelim' but research actually indicates this a bit cooler and unique and perhaps the only existing pencil work by Grell for this page.

The comic itself bills Mike Grell credited for 'story and pencils' but Rob Prior as artist. In checking out the comic some pages are pencilled by Grell while others are painted by Prior. This particular page in the comic is actually painted by Prior and this page done by Grell was apparently used as a prelim layout from which Prior then painted his version of the page for publication. A pretty cool picture of the collaboration process that went into creating this story. It would seem likely that this would be the only original artwork for this page by Grell making it of special interest to both Grell collectors and Spawn collectors.
