DescriptionA great pin up of Danger Dozen, a fun adventure title released from First Salvo with great art from the late Norm Breyfogle and sadly too short lived.I bought this one because it was basically a case of “it’s too great to be sold this cheap” during a monthly C-Link auction. I think it radiates Kirby inspiration while remaining true to Brohawk’s style. The cosmic scenery, the Kirby cosmic particles all over (or Kirby dots or crackles), the flaming hand and the weird orb. I also love how the piece is lit. The blacks are sharp on the right of the piece and fade to grainy pencil shading greys on the left, the light source being on the far bottom right. Great inking. I also like the confident look on the character’s face. Social/Sharing |
