Description

As many longtime collectors know, Joe Maneely art is hard to come by, so I was very happy to pickup this example. This is from the short lived Mrs. Lyon's Cubs comic strip that was written by Stan Lee when he was still hoping to get into a more respectable field than comic books (such as comic strips or novels). Sadly, this strip was published only one day before Joe Maneely died in a tragic accident.

In the published version, the 3rd panel has a paste up with original art. I was able to gently remove the paste up to reveal the original art beneath. I'm not sure why they changed it, as I think the original is far superior.
