Description

Gene Colan and Dave Gutierrez's Back Issue Magazine #6 Dracula Cover Illustration and Print Group of 3 (2002). Gene Colan shows that even 23 years after his seminal 70-issue run on Marvel's Tomb of Dracula, that he can still Count on him to sink his teeth into a juicy drawing of the world's most famous vampire! Colan's shading technique is unmistakable and legendary. Rendered in pure graphite, this stunning piece was crafted on a 13.5" x 20.5" sheet of Bristol board. Signed and dated in the lower right. The pencil work was then rendered in ink on a second sheet of 11" x 17" Bristol board by Dave Guiterrez. When used on the magazine cover, the image was flipped for aesthetic reasons. In excellent condition. Comes with a matted image of the printed cover.
