Description

I always admired Dale's work on the excellent Jonathan Hickman run of Fantastic Four. In my opinion, it's some of the best work of Dale's career. I'm always so impressed by art published from pencils. The attention to detail in this page is over the top; although why is the Human Torch looking into the "camera" instead of blasting the bad guy? LOL.

Update (8/22/21): Professor Thimk's comment below answers my question! Had to go into the storage box and open the issue to see there are two more robots coming and Johnny notices them first.

This is AWESOME; totally 'off-the-hook' Kirby, but through Mr. Eaglesham's own prism. Love, LOVE the pencils - great pick up!

Very Nice! Eaglesham did indeed rock the Fantastic Four. I hadn't noticed about Johnny looking out like that! Ha!

Beautiful! My read is that Johnny has just become aware of the SECOND monster robot that has appeared from behind a building and is now racing down the street to aid its beleaguered brother. Uh oh . . .

You are 100% correct! Been a while since the issue came out, so I just opened it, and on the next page, there are two more giant robots coming on to the scene and Johny takes the 1st one out. Good call.
