Description17.75" x 11.75" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Infinity Inc. #38 Page 27 SILVER SCARAB Original Art (DC, 1987). Martin King and Tony DeZuņiga.The last page of the issue features the heartbreaking break-up of Hector Hall (or what is left of him inside the Silver Scarab armor) and Lyta Trevor. This story arc would eventually lead to Lyta having their baby in the dream dimension, a fact that writer Neil Gaiman would weave into his Sandman series for Vertigo. The page is composed of two large panels, making it almost a splash page. Evil overtakes Hector Hall, and the new Silver Scarab is born! The entity that had been within Hector Hall since his birth, emerges due to the manipulation of of Hath-Set. The reincarnated Silver Scarab will fight Infinity, Inc. alongside Hath-Set in future issues, and summon the Eye of Ra. Social/Sharing |
