Description

The flirting between Wonder Woman and Tom Tresser (Nemesis - Steve Trevor substitute) continues. After the explosion Dian ends up lying on top of Tom. He gazes into her eyes as she says 'Hello' and he replies 'Hi'. Then as she lifts herself up and off him he doesn't alter his gaze so he can't help but get an eyefull of the Wonder-cleavage. I know he shouldn't but so often Wonder Woman is written as earnest and (bizzarely) almost sexless so it's nice to see some acknowledgement that she is a sexual being. As an aside this whole mini-arc is all about Wonder Woman's humanity so exploring the sexual attraction between her and Tom is natural.
The moment passes immediately and the next thing they know they are flying over the carnage of Washington DC. At the time they still don't't know who is behind it, but they will very soon. Bottom panel is a nice shot.
