Description

Stunning cover for the Danish Don Rosa hall of fame number 7, made by the Kentucky master to depict all the stories included in the volume in 2008. Used also as back cover for the American fantagraphics Don Rosa library number 7. One of his last work, it is impressive the ability to fulfill the panel with multiple details and connecting the famous stories in a sophisticated game of parallelism and visions. Two Scrooges are running to each one (one is coming from the Life and Time of Scrooge McDuck) while two villains are facing themselvels, seen by astonished Donald and Scrooge who have some gravity problems.

I picked them from Don Rosa himself at the second edition of Lake Como Comic Art Festival in May 2019. He stressed the complexity of the work and the balanced result.
