DescriptionI got this from Michael Turner himself, at the CrossGen comic convention in Orlando, in 2000. A friend of mine suggested we go at the last minute, so I went...never regretted it. Turner was there on several panels, one with Stan Lee!! Turner wasn't officially doing con sketches at that point, as he'd become so popular. However, one of our art school professors was also there and knew Michael, so he introduced us. I asked him if there were any way to get a sketch cover done while he was there. He asked me to meet him at the end of the con, right as everything was shutting down, and he'd do one. He made good on his word, and drew this for me. He'll forever be one of my favorite artists, as his work had so much life in it, like my other favorites usually do. The man was a phenomenon.Social/Sharing |
