A new hero, Jackal, hits Metropolis - hard - and Superman isn't crazy about the newcomer's style. Also: Doomsday is coming, featuring a glimpse at a character who will have a chilling effect on the life of Superman!

This issue features The Jackal a werewolf/human hybrid who has declared war on all evildoers but instead of bringing them to justice he executes them.Him and Superman cross paths and Superman makes it abundantly clear that this will not be tolerated.The Jackal decides to escalate their encounter and winds up on the wrong end of things. As if this storyline wasnt enough the reader discovers Doomsday is no longer coming HE IS HERE!!!!

Robin mentions that the Jackal's location in Pennsylvania is about 250 miles from Metropolis, supporting the placement of Metropolis in Delaware.
